This week at the Res

For those playing along at home, tonight I am two days past my due date with this baby. Josie and Celia were 7 and 6 days late respectively, so I’m not very surprised but still anxious to get this show on the road. To keep us all busy, I signed Josie up for swimming lessons, which started Monday and run till next Friday on weekdays. It gives us someplace to get up and go to each morning and both girls get lots of active fun sensory time. Josie has been very enthusiastic with her lessons even though two weeks ago she didn’t want to do them at all. Her friends Sophie and Adelaide are also in the class which definitely helps.

Celia spends the lesson time digging in the sand right on the waters edge. Then later depending on the weather we’ve swam more all together, done more sand play, hit the playground, or just headed home when it was raining.

Wow… In the summer of 1996, I was a lifeguard at the Res, and I taught those swimming lessons. I usually had the 3-4 year olds, but sometime the 5-6 year olds. The guy running it back then thought I was good with the younger kids.
